Nighty Night
As we increasingly understand the importance of a good night’s sleep for our health, wellness resorts are creating innovative sleep-themed treatments to ensure we always get a good night’s rest.
Chiva-Som, Hua Hin
Pioneering wellness destination Chiva-Som Hua Hin is addressing sleep issues with the launch of the new Sleep Enhancement Specialization programme, which combines advanced sleep hormones and sleep apnea testing, nutrition consultations, a naturopathic consultation, a range of supportive wellness treatments and a tailored room set-up.
The programme commences with two advanced sleep assessments, which provide insight into sleep assessments, which provide insight into sleep patterns and behaviors, as well as circadian rhythms and the release of cortisol and melatonin, two key hormones that regulate sleep. The assessments, conducted by the resort’s resident doctor, are followed by a variety of treatments and therapies, ranging from supplements and tailored exercise to nutritional plans designed to correct the imbalance.
Chiva-Som’s new Sleep Apnea Screening takes place in the comfort of the guest’s room and focuses on several physiological parameters during sleep, including airflow, oxygen saturation, heart rate and brain activity. In addition, In-Room Sleep Support optimizes the guest’s sleep environment with blackout curtains, essential oil diffusers, herbal teas and a smart sleep clock that mimics natural light. A Better Sleep Class is open to all guests to help promote a great night’s rest.
