LOCATION
Waiheke Island is served by frequent ferries from downtown Auckland, a mere 35 minute trip. Or there are helicopter or light aircraft flights between Auckland and Waiheke Airfield. The Boatshed is just 5 minutes from the ferry terminal. A short stroll will have you in Oneroa, Waiheke's eclectic village with cafes, art galleries and souvenir shops. Little Oneroa, a long white sandy beach, is a 3 minute walk down from the Boatshed. Stunning coastal walks lead you to other hidden bays and coves.

A very romantic hotel, The Boatshed comprises 5 guest suites and 2 bungalows – an eclectic mix of different spaces and room types, created with the same design philosophy. All offer privacy, panoramic ocean views, open fires and the highest level of design details.
The three 'Boatshed' suites all have a nostalgic beach hit feel; open up the louvered shutters to the gardens and enjoy the sea breezes from teak sun loungers on your private deck.
The 'Bridge' sits like a ships Bridge at the top of the hotel overlooking the beach and bay. Perch yourself on the traditional porch and open the louvres to sea breezes, relax and take in the beautiful views.
The 'Lighthouse' is the most romantic suite; spiral your way up the three storey tower, past the white washed wooden bedroom to the day room at the top – fold back the glass doors and open the room wide. The Lighthouse has a service lift for private meal service – order your breakfast and it will appear in your room; crave a romantic dinner for two in the top of the tower...its on its way up. The perfect honeymoon or special occasion suite – for the romantic in us all.
Located in the Boatshed's gardens, the two Bungalows are the most spacious accomodation for two.
The Boatshed's extensive kitchen gardens and dedicated team bring together the best in modern healthy cuisine, from lazy breakfasts in the sun to romantic dinners under the stars. The Boatshed doesn't offer communal dining, exclusive to in-house guests private fine dining makes the most of the hotel's beautiful design, art and the beautiful bay and ocean views.
Spa treatments are available for in-house guests only and are enjoyed in the privacy of your suite.
